Friday, Sept. 15, at 9:30 p.m. on Western Reserve PBS

AROUND AKRON, a monthly half-hour series, is the work of Akron producer Blue Green, who says, “The goal of the show is to shine a spotlight on all of the good things that Akron has to offer.”

It's all about jazz on this episode of AROUND AKRON WITH BLUE GREEN. We tell the history of jazz music on Howard Street. We sit down and talk with Tony Troppe about BLU Jazz+, BLU Plate and the future Blutique Hotel in the United Building. To wrap up the show, we talk with Ace Boogie about his new album release "The Opposite of What's Hot Now." If you love jazz, you’re going love this episode.
